Lately I have been inspired by the Harry Potter stories.
When I read the books, I would often get my own visions
of the characters, beasts and pets. This is my rendition of
Hermione's cat, "Crookshanks". A fabulous orange Persian.
I always have thought that cats are all about the eyes!

My painting for today is Cosmo. This is one of my son's little
dogs.Today is my son's birthday and this is his present.
This sweet little dog has developed a very special bond to
him so I thought it would be fun if he had a little painting.

Here is the last of Halloween pieces that have been
haunting me, Booooooo! I think it may be my favorite.
I have always believed that cats can often see what we
cannot....If you look closely you may see what the cat can see
on Hallows eve.

Here is the second of Halloween pieces that have been
haunting me, Ooooooo.
Here is the black cat again, the favorite companion of any great witch.
Although the witch is off on her broom somewhere, the
cat looks like it has found some entertainment.

Black Moon

"Black Moon"

This is the first of several Halloween pieces that have been
haunting me, Ooooooo. I used a little larger canvas this time to be
able to get the overall effect I wanted.
For a night when spirits of the dead wander around and witches fly
through the sky,it just seemed appropriate to have a black moon.

Murial and Murphy

This is the second piece in a series I call, Dog Days.
I think one of the favorite things in a dogs day is their walk,
so I thought I would capture these little moments when
they are happy. Here are two that I met in Goodale Park,
Columbus, Ohio. Murphy is on the left, a small pit bull.
Their master said that they are really good friends.

I moved this past year, back to an old neighborhood I use to
live in, where everybody goes for walks and usually with at
least one dog. This is one of the neighbors, I often see,
with her little dog who patiently waits for her while she
stops to chat with friends.
