There is a very popular little store near my home that is a white retro 40's -50's style. I love to go in there and browse around. The gal is a friend of mine and she lets me sketch and hang out(for arts sake). I loved the look of this manikin head.

"Cafe Shadows"

As you have seen with my bicycle series, it is often the shadows of people and things that I find fascinating. I think they allow me to view things in a different way and leave a bit more open to the imagination.Sometimes they almost become an abstract painting. This is the first of a series of pieces that I want to do on cafe /restaurant shadows. I hope you will find them as interesting as I do.
