"Wash and Wear"
OOAK mixed media art doll
9" long

This little guy is Wilfred. He is a hairstylist with
flair! He creates some of the most interesting
"wash and wear" hairstyles around.

His arms and legs can be delicately posed to hang on the wall
or sit in that special place!
Sculpted head, hands and legs (delicately painted and sealed from the elements)
He has a soft body with an antique button and holds a handmade wooden brush.

Like us, he is definitely a OOAK.
All handmade no molds

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
This is a OOAK collectible, not a toy. All parts are handmade unless stated otherwise.

1908 Candlestick Telephone - still life oil painting

"The Old Candlestick"
oil on gallery wrapped canvas
9"x 12"

Sometimes I miss the old rotary phones. This one is even before my days! :)
Candlestick Phone - 1908
In the early days of the telephone, prior to the development of the rotary dial, telephone calls were operator-assisted. To place a call, you were required to pick up the telephone receiver and wait for the telephone operator to answer with "Number please?" You would then ask to be connected to the number you wished to call, and the operator would make the connection manually, by means of a switchboard.

Have a great day - and maybe CALL an old friend!

Tinkling of the Ivories - piano keys still life painting

Copyright © 2011 Linda Apple
"Old Piano"
oil on gallery wrapped canvas
8"x 10"

This is a close up painting of my old spinet piano keys.
I inherited this piano from my dad and it was the piano
that I learned to play on. My dad and I were the only ones
that used it and every time I sit down to play a little tune
I am reminded of him playing his songs on a Sat. evening
(and sometimes the dog would howl too!)

Taking a Break - Light & Form

Copyright © 2010 Linda Apple
"Breaktime"
oil on canvas
8"x10"

You know how it is when you work, work, work and you just need a moment alone!
You would go anywhere to get away from listening to the same old grind.
That was my idea for this piece.
I used strong light and darks and a pattern of squares from
windows and floor to help create the mood.

Happy Days - penguin

"Happy Days"
oil on 1.5 " deep canvas - 6"x6"

I might have been a little too excited to think of spring! Although
the first day of spring arrived 3 days ago....it came in with winter
cold and gray skies. I guess there are some who enjoy the winter and
are sad to see it go.
