I have been busy with some commissions lately and thought you would enjoy seeing how this works. This was a re-creation of my first bicycle shadow paintings. The client wanted the same look and colors of the 6x8 but have it as an 8x8.
This was an old bicycle that sat beside my house without an owner.It had been abandoned for many months until one day I sat it in my front yard and did sketches of it. Next day it was gone.

"I recently visited Ohio University and found it populated with a large number of great bicycle scenes. I especially enjoyed the way the shadows fell across the brick and added a bit of color.

"The Eyes Have It"

"I did this one larger, 8x8", to be able to develop the painting
a bit more.
This is a mural on a building in our art district they call the
Short North. It is obviously a quirky take of the famous
"American Gothic". I used to have a gallery just across the
street from this building. I thought it would be fun to use it
for a different idea."
