It's really fun to create paintings within paintings.
As you already know, I love to play off of puns,cliches and
even add bit of humor. In this painting, I created a small
tribute to Georgia O'Keefe,in order to propose a question to
the viewer.

Yes, look again at the size!
This is a commissioned painting that I just completed this past week.
It was made to fit over a fireplace mantle. She wanted two women at the
art museum and if I could include some sculpture and a view of the sky
through the trees. This was the result.
It fit perfectly and she said that it felt like it had always been there.
The funny thing for me was that after it was hung and we sat back to view
it...... I realized that the window light source in the house was coming
in from the right, the same as in the painting. So it was a bit surreal,
that it looked like the light coming in was creating the shading
in the painting. Really fun!!
